Latest Updates from Our Project:

Dice Sets, Shipping Charges, and December Fulfillment!
4 months ago – Mon, Nov 24, 2025 at 04:24:47 PM

Greetings once more!

Selius here with another update for you, and, ideally, the last update before I tell y'all that your packages are underway. We're still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bulk shipment, which is in fact nearly here. Much slower than we wanted, but 2025 has been a very strange year for international trade. And by strange, I mean difficult.

With the imminent arrival of the goods, I have at long last initiated payments for shipping and handling! We're now obtaining everything we need to send Woodlander to all of you: hundreds of boxes, dozens of rolls of tape, packing material, printer & labels, and more. It's time to stock up on our end! I want to be ready to hit the ground running.

Now, for some fresh pics! The dice sets have arrived before the rest of the bulk shipment. We now have them in hand! And they look great.

(Disclaimer: these photos were taken with a Galaxy S10e, which had a decidedly mid camera six years ago.)

I am so very pleased with the end result of these dice. There is nothing more satisfying to hold than 1000s of math rocks. I've never felt more powerful.

Dice, pins, and A Missing Maiden are sitting pretty on our shelves. Both editions of Woodlander, bookmarks, stickers, and special boxes are en route. We're nearly there. Unless something very strange happens with customs, I am determined to have all packages sent before Christmas. We have a convention to attend in December, but, beyond that, fulfillment is our main mountain to climb.

That's all for now. Thank you as always, and talk to you again soon!

International Freight Still in Progress - Hold Fast for Shipping!
5 months ago – Sat, Oct 25, 2025 at 10:32:25 AM

Hello all,

Selius here with a brief and uneventful update. As of this moment, we're still waiting for the bulk of the freight to arrive. We have no choice but to play the waiting game; the past few weeks have been tumultuous for the chain of supply, as you might suspect. I'm still waiting for an update on arrival time, at which point we'll have the books, stickers, bookmarks, and boxes brought from port (Long Beach!) to our office for fulfillment. Dice, meanwhile, will arrive separately.

This isn't bad news, it's just slow news. 2025 has been a very weird year, which has really shaken the usual expectations. As such, our predicted timeline has suffered. Rest assured, though, that the one hitch is in delivery time, and not in quality.

When I do have new news, I'll be sure to post again. For now, we just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know to hold on tight for a little longer. As always, thank you for your support and your patience. The hardest parts are all done, and with a little luck, we can get past the glacial pace of international trade in 2025.

Thank you,
- Selius

Books in Boxes on a Pallet—Plus, Pins!
7 months ago – Mon, Sep 15, 2025 at 05:05:39 PM

Hail and well met,

Selius here. This is a long overdue update, after receiving a long overdue confirmation from the printers. We thank you greatly for your patience on these physical goods—2025 has been a very strange year, and the printing process has been slower because of it. But progress is steady, if not slow, and eventually, that means results!

It is my pleasure to reveal to you... the goods!

Behold.

Okay, that is slightly less glamorous than the buildup implied. But, it is very good news indeed! Woodlander has been made real, realer than ever before. Now, it's merely a matter of transport. This image comes by way of the printer, so we still have to get it to our part of the world. But that's something we're accustomed to. It's logistics time, baby.

Because of this, we will soon finally be able to act on the promise of only charging for shipping after the goods are all printed and actually moving towards us. It's an important oath, and we wanted to stand by it.

While the bulk remains (briefly) overseas, we do have something else to show you! Not quite as big, but the Woodlander pins are in our hands, and they are prettier than we could have hoped for. Take a look!

Keyboard cameo!
Yes, I had to put them back in a box after taking this pic. Worth it.

Green. Gold. Shiny. Fit for a serpent's hoard, I reckon. That puts two of the puzzle pieces directly in our hands, and the rest are awaiting a fateful voyage.

With some actual, tangible movement, you can expect to hear from us again soon. We want to give a dedicated 48-hour warning before shipping is charged, as a courtesy to everyone for your patience. I'm excited to receive a mountain of books, a veritable fortress of Woodlander literature. Talk to you again shortly!

Thank you everyone,
 - Selius

The first bulk has arrived! A Missing Maiden safely received. Plus, print proofs.
9 months ago – Wed, Jul 09, 2025 at 04:02:52 PM

Hello all!

Selius here, back from Pittsburgh and bringing you some photos. Just before I left, the bulk order for the adventure module, A Missing Maiden, arrived. Now that I'm back, I can show you!

As well, we've got a cameo of the Woodlander print proofs, both softcover and hardcover, which also arrived at our office here in Buffalo. We've already made some tweaks to these for the big print run, but I wanted to include them anyway - the colors really complement each other. Photogenic.

Behold!

The trifecta.
Many copies were ordered!
The interior is as sharp as can be.

For A Missing Maiden, we partnered with CG Book Printers, a domestic printing company out of Minnesota. I've worked with them on past projects, and their quality is as good as any. I'm quite pleased to have worked with them again!

These books were the first to arrive in bulk, and I look forward to more come! As the goods arrive, you'll hear all about it; I'm terrible at keeping secrets.

That's all for now. Talk to you again soon!

Cheers,
 - Selius

First Look at the Hardcover and Softcover Books!
10 months ago – Thu, Jun 19, 2025 at 12:26:26 PM

Hey all!

Selius here once again, this time with pics. Not high quality pics, but I don't want to wait to reveal the very first look at both editions of Woodlander. Impatience can be a virtue, too. Expect a more glamorous photo op once I have them in my hands here in Buffalo, but for now, please take a look at the screen grabs from the production video!

First up, the faux-leather, special edition hardcover! The green-and-gold really pop, even better than I was expecting. Alex made a great decision here, and the faux leather has a wonderful texture to it.

Goooooooold!

The gold foiling really catches the light well, and the texturing makes for a lovely holding experience.

Appreciable from all angles.

The softcover book is also fully proofed, so please take a look! Rather than go for solid colors, we've elected for a subtle texture and pleasant gradient. Once again, I'm very pleased!

Hands cameo.

Beyond that, the inside is looking good too! The print quality is exactly the kind of high quality that we expect.

Thumb cameo.

The proofs were not without issue, though; we've run into a rather vexing problem with the greyscale conversion to a print-ready file. Specifically, the grey tones of some tables, as well as the drop shadow for said tables, have printed as solid black. This is especially problematic, as it covers black text entirely!

Lexi is hard at work getting this fixed - there's always something new to learn, even after years of experience. If anything, this reinforces the importance of the print proof stage. Digital books can be patched, but physical books? Those are etched in stone. And by stone, I mean wood.

Will have more for you soon, as more proofs come in and we start to receive the full bulk of the goods, too.

Cheers,
 - Selius
