The Woodlander crowdfunding period has come to a close. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, not just as a funded project, but as a successful project! More so than I originally hoped to achieve.

There's much more to talk about in the coming months. Production will begin shortly, including opportunities to show off print proofs for everything.
Within the next couple of weeks, you can also expect to receive your pledge surveys, which will be used to gather shipping addresses and to collect funds for shipping and sales tax (where applicable).
Additionally, all products offered by this crowdfunding campaign will be made available for pre-order for those who want to support Woodlander further.

Hello everyone!

The Woodlander Kickstarter project will soon come to a close. It has been very successful, and I'm immensely grateful to you all. Thank you!

We're not quite done yet, however. There are still 6 hours left, and I think we can still reach the final stretch goal. Achieving that will allow me to better handle the tariff and freight situation, as well as a chance to give back to you at no extra cost. 

Crowdfunding may end, but that's just the beginning of this process. Manufacturing is the next step; we'll be working to get the pledge manager set up to send out your surveys.

This isn't the last chance to get Woodlander or the add-ons, but their prices will likely increase moving forward, so take advantage of what little time remains.

New Stretch Goal Announced: Woodlander Dice Pouch!

Hello again! 

Just six days to go, and I have another update for you. We have something fun to show you. That's right... a new stretch goal! Allow me to unveil the Woodlander Dice Pouch.

Should we reach our stretch goal, this unique Woodlander dice bag will come free with all pledges that include the Woodlander Dice Set, whether as part of a pledge tier or as an add-on. The pouch will be big enough to hold all your Woodlander-specific dice, with enough room for some extras too!

After a lot of deliberation, we're setting this stretch goal at $32,500. At this amount, we can safely manufacture these at a high enough scale to justify including it for free with all dice orders! In the face of uncertainty regarding tariffs and their impact on manufacturing and freight, hitting this goal would help a whole lot. With six days left, I think we can reach it!

In summary...

Hello everyone!

Somehow, there's just one week left before crowdfunding comes to a close. My name is Selius - I'm from Heartleaf Games, Alex's collaborator for this crowdfunding project. I'll be leading the charge on everything for manufacturing, freight, and fulfillment. This is all familiar territory for us, and you'll be hearing more from me after this crowdfunding project comes to a close next week.

First of all, I have news regarding Woodlander's first adventure module, A Missing Maiden! We've announced that the physical edition will come with the Storybook Kit tier. Now, we've also made the adventure module PDF available as an add-on, which you can get for only $5! This 20-page adventure comes with all-new art, and I can confirm now that it will release simultaneously with Woodlander.

For those of you with the Storybook Kit pledge, you'll also get the digital version of A Missing Maiden included at no extra cost.

The State of Tariffs

Now, I want to take a brief moment to talk about tariffs and how they might impact the production of Woodlander - some of you have asked, and I'd like to share some insight. First off, let me say that we will be working hard to ensure that everything goes as smooth as possible. To speak plainly, the whole situation has sown tons of uncertainty for everyone involved. Things are chaotic, unpredictable; reality seem to change daily. 

Undoubtedly, all of our production costs will be more expensive. Even books, which should maintain lower tariff rates, will become pricier due to increasing material costs and skyrocketing freight rates. This is the current reality, and it is unfortunate. But allow me to assure you Kickstarter supporters: nothing will change for you in terms of price. The timing was rough; these tariffs were sudden, sweeping, and painful. We simply could not predict this before launching Woodlander, and we'll just have to deal with the surprise consequences. Thankfully, y'all have funded this project well beyond what we needed to make it real. So even with this extra challenge, we'll stay the course! 

And for those who want to help a little extra, we'll find a way to make that possible.

The one impact to watch out for will be the fulfillment timeline. Manufacturing may become slower due to material shortages and port congestion. These are unknowns, so for now, we're still aiming for fulfillment in June. If something changes, you'll be the first to know! Count on it.

Lastly, as a final note, we'll likely have to increase prices of most items after the Kickstarter campaign is over. If you'd like to get the best deal, then go ahead and snag add-ons now, or upgrade your pledge! We'll still make all add-ons available post-launch, they'll just cost a little more.

Adventure Module: "A Missing Maiden" - Cover Reveal & Release Details!

Hello everyone,

As of now, Woodlander has managed to raise $25,000. This is a major milestone, and we're not even halfway through the funding period! All of you have helped make this project a resounding success. With this influx of support, I am happy to introduce...

A Missing Maiden, the first Woodlander adventure module!

This softcover, 20+ page adventure will be an excellent introduction to Woodlander's setting and its gameplay; may it serve as a launching point for your own stories and adventures.

Initially, I expected to have to ship this module after the original Kickstarter campaign had concluded, but A Missing Maiden will indeed ship alongside the rest of the campaign in June! We've already spoken with our manufacturers, and I can confirm that the extra printing won't impact our production or fulfillment schedule.

As a reminder, the module is available as an add-on for your pledge, and it will come packaged with the Storybook Kit tier for free!

I have already finalized the text for the module and devised the stat blocks for its characters and creatures. Currently, I'm drawing the illustrations and dungeon map—it's a lot of work, but I've made good progress so far.
